【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedforusebyindividualsmaintainingandhandlinghazardousbiologicalmaterialinliquidnitrogenfreezers.Thisguidedoesnotcoverallaspectsofeverysituationthatmaybeencounteredinmaintaininghazardousbiologicalmaterialinliquidnitrogen;eachsituationmustthereforebeassessedindividuallyusingtheseguidelines.Thisguideisnotintendedforusewithsystemsotherthanliquidnitrogenstorage.ThisguidedoesnotcoverpracticesforpreservationbyfreezingwhicharecoveredinPracticeE1342.1.1Thisguidecoversrecommendedproceduresformaintainingandhandlinghazardousbiologicalmaterialsatliquidnitrogentemperatures.1.2Thisguidecoversthesafetyprecautionsrecommendedwhenhandlingmaterialstoredinliquidnitrogen.1.3Thisguidedoesnotcoverthemaintenanceandhandlingofhazardousbiologicalmaterialsmaintainedatcryogenictemperaturesinsystemsotherthanliquidnitrogen.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
